Basilicon unguentum regale et est tetrafarmacum.

Translation:

Basilicon: the royal unguent or the tetrapharmakon.

Commentary:

Basilikon (βασιλικόν) is Greek for Royal. 'Royal' remedies are to be found in many ancient pharmacological compilations. Tetrapharmakon means the remedy with four ingredients. The tetrapharmakon (τετραφάρμακον) was a very well-known remedy, mentioned by philosophers and pharmacological writers, hence it is sometimes referred to as being 'royal'.
