Translation:

Bdela {"leech"} is Greek for Latin sanguisuga {(lit.) "blood-sucker"}.


Commentary:

Bdela:
Greek βδέλλα /bdélla/ "leech" or "lamprey" is derived from the verb βδάλλω /bdállō/ meaning "to milk cows, to suck" according to LSJ.
