Cas vel cassi arabice torax.

Apparatus:

Cas ABC e | Chas f

cassi B ef | cassum ACD

torax ABCD| thorax ul' torax ef

Translation:

Cas or cassi is Arabic for thorax.

Commentary:

Simon's translation is somewhat imprecise; cf. Wehr (1976): ﻗﺲ /qass/ = ﻗﺺ /qaṣṣ/ "sternum, breastbone". The form cassum has a Latinised ending.

Cf. Fonahn (1922: 804-6, 2696-8).
