Dukara is Arabic for Latin caprificus {"wild fig-tree"}.

Dozy (1877-81: I.487): ﺫﻛﺎﺭ /ḏukkār/, nom d’un. ﺓ, …. Ordinairement le mot ﺫﻛﺎﺭ /ḏukkār/ seul désigne ce dernier arbre {i.e. figuier sauvage, caprifiguier "wild fig-tree"} et son fruit {i.e. "Normally the word ﺫﻛﺎﺭ /ḏukkār/ on its own means the latter tree – i.e. the wild fig-tree - and its fruit".
