Egregorsis grece vigilia.


Apparatus:

ms. e has defectus vigilia with defectus crossed out. The copyist had jumped a line to one of the next entries Ekkopis (1) that is translated as defectus.


Translation:

Egregorsis is Greek for Latin vigilia {“wakefulness”}.


Commentary:

ἐγρήγορσις /egrḗgorsis/ “waking, wakefulness”, Liddell & Scott.

vigilia "wakefulness, sleeplessness; watching, watch, guard; the time of keeping a watch; (trop.) vigilance”, Lewis & Short.
