Farfagi exponit Avicenna quod est portulaca.

Translation:

In Avicenna it is explained that Arabic farfagi is portulaca {"purslane"} in Latin.

Commentary:

Simon's text is a quote from: [Goehl] Canon Avicennae, liber secundus, capitulum 274: De farfag (annotation: farfanch vel farfrugi vel farfegi). Farfag quid est? Est portulaca. Cf. also the Lyon edition (1522: 93) online, Liber II, chapter cclxxiiii De farfag [[1]]. For the Arabic original online see book II, p. 239 [[2]]

Lane (1984: 2383): ﻓﺪﻓﺦ /farfaḫ/ "Purslane or garden purslane”. Siggel (1950: 56): ﻓﺮﻓﺦ /farfaḫ/ Portulaca, Portulak {"purslane"}.
