Gabira ABC f | Abira e
guberia AC | guberea e | gubera f | gabera B
mespilla AC | mespila B e | nespila f
Translation:
Stephanus writes gabira instead of guberia, it is in Latin mespilla {"medlar"}.
Commentary:
Cf. Siggel (1950: 54): ﻏﺒﺎﺭﻳﺔ /ḡabāriya/ e. Mespilus (Ros.) {i.e. "medlar"}, but cf. also ﻏﺒﻴﺮﺍﺀ /ḡubairāʔ/ Prunus (Sorbus) domestica (Ros.), Eberesche; … {i.e. "true service tree; mountain ash"}.
