Gaira Stephanus pro gire scripsit quod est colla gluten alia ex pisce alia ex coriis.

Translation:

Gaira is what Stephanus writes for Arabic gire, which is glue either made from fish or hides.


Commentary:

Stephanus in his Breviarium writes: kolla … gari [[1]]. N.b. Greek κόλλα /kólla/ means "glue".
