Halzum arabice limacia.

Apparatus:

limacia AB ef | limatia C {'c' misread as 't'}

Translation:

Halzum is Arabic for Latin limacia {"slug, snail"}.

Commentary:

Wehr (1976): ﺣﻟﺯﻮﻥ /ḥalazūn/ "snail, spiral". Siggel (1950: 29): ﺣﻟﺯﻮﻥ /ḥalazūn/ Helix pomatia, Weinbergschnecke {"Burgundy snail, Roman snail"} [[1]].

Rather than classical Latin limax Simon uses the medieval Latin limacia/limaccia, meaning "slug, snail".
