Holbe arabice fenugrecum et si dices hulbe non peccas.

Apparatus:

{fenugrecum} mss. jp add what is possibly an attempt to write ﺣﻠﺒﺔ /ḥulba/ in Arabic script
dices AC | dicis B efjp
hulbe AC j | ulbe Bej | halbe f
peccas | me? f

Translation:

Holbe is Arabic for Latin fenugrecum {"fenugreek"}, and if you pronounce it hulbe that is not wrong either.

Commentary:

Holbe:
Wehr (1976): ﺣﻠﺒﺔ /ḥulba/ "fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum; bot.)".
Siggel (1850: 29) ﺣﻠﺒﺔ /ḥulba/ Trigonella foenum graecum (Papil.) Bockshornklee, griech. Heu {“fenugreek”}

Holbe is one of several transcription attempts of the Arabic plant name ﺣﻠﺒﺔ /ḥulba/; see below.
