Translation:

Iebrene is the form Stephanus writes for iabroha, which is {in Latin} mandragora {"mandrake"}.

Commentary:

Stephanus in his Breviarium writes: mãdragoras … ieberuhũ luffaa [[1]]. N.b. mandragoras transcribes the Greek form of the word: μανδραγόρας /mandragóras/ "mandrake". ieberuhũ is ﻳﺒﺮﻭﺡ /yabrūḥ/ + Latinising ending –um > *iebruh+um.

Simon's witnesses have all subjected Stephanus' ieberuhũ to further corruptions with e.g. 'h' misread as 'n' and the latter in turn misread as 'u'; also all of their versions are ending in –e.
