Translation:
Kafraryeudi is Arabic for Latin aspaltum iudaicum {i.e. "Jew's pitch"}, also called nafta in Arabic and in Greek napta, etc.
Commentary:
Cf. Siggel p. 86: ﻗﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﻴﻬﻭﺩ /qafr al-yahūd/ "Judenpech" {i.e. lit. "pitch of the Jews}, and with nisbah: ﻗﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﻴﻬﻭﺩﻯ /qafr al-yahūdīy/.
Wehr: ﻧﻔﻄ /nafṭ/ "naphtha, petroleum". Siggel p. 89: ﻧﻔﻄ /nafṭ/ Naphta, Erdöl, Rohpetrolium {i.e. "naphtha, crude oil, crude petroleum"}.
