Translation:
Kaysum is Arabic for Latin abrotanum {"southernwood"}.
Commentary:
Siggel (1950: 61): ﻗﻴﺴﻮﻢ /qaisūm/ ﻗﻴﺼﻮﻢ {/qaiṣūm/ not transcribed} Artemisia (the genus southernwood belongs to}.
Only witness f mentions Avicenna as the source, who indeed does have a chapter on abrotanum in the Canon, Liber secundus, Capitulum 69 (68). De abrotano... The original Arabic chapter is entitled ﻗﻴﺴﻮﻡ /qaisūm/, [[1]] p. 248.
