Korone grece cornix.

Apparatus:

cornix AC ef | carnix B {misprint}

Translation:

Korone is Greek for Latin cornix {"crow"}.

Commentary:

κορώνη /korṓnē/ "a sea-bird, possibly shearwater". 2. "crow, including the hooded crow Corvus cornix and prob. also the rook, C. corone" (LSJ).

Latin cornix and Greek κορώνη /korṓnē/ as corone have survived into zoological Latin.
