Likos grece lupus likama lupa.

Apparatus:

likama BC fj {'in' misread as 'm'} | likema A | lichama p {rubricated}
likama lupa om. e

Translation:

Likos is Greek for Latin lupus {"wolf"}, Greek likama is lupa {"she-wolf"} in Latin.

Commentary:

Likos:
Greek λύκος /lýkos/ is here presented in the medieval itacist pronunciation /líkos/, as is λύκαινα /lýkaina/ "she-wolf"; Simon's form and that of the other witnesses is the result of an early misreading of itacist /líkena/ or */líkaina/.
