Lubie arabice faseoli.

Translation:

Lubie is the Arabic for Latin faseoli {"beans"}.

Commentary:

Wehr (1976): ﻟﻮﺑﻴﺎ /lūbiyā/ "bean (bot.)"; Siggel (1950: 66): ﻟﻮﺑﻴﺎ lūbiyā Dolichos (Mucuna) lubia (Leg.) Lubiabohne {"lubia bean"}.

Latin faseolus / phaseolus is glossed by LSJ as "a kind of bean with an edible pod, French beans, kidney-beans, phasel". The word is most probably adopted from Greek φάσηλος /phásēlos/ glossed by LSJ "a kind of bean, calavance, Vigna sinensis", a word with a number of variants: φασίολος /phasíolos/, φασίωλος /phasíōlos/, πασίολος /pasíolos/, φασιούλυος /phasioúlyos/. Its etymology is uncertain.
