Siggel (1950: 70): ﻣﻴﻌﺔ /maiʕa/ = ﻟﺒﻨﺎ /lubnā/.
(1950: 65): ﻟﺒﻨﺎ ,ﻟﺒﻨﻰ /lubnā/ = ﻣﻴﻌﺔ /maiʕa/ Harz v. Styrax officinalis (Ebenac.), Styrax fest und flüssig; … auch v. Liquidambar orientalis (Saxifragac.) {i.e. "resin of S. officinalis, storax solid and liquid. … Also: of L. orientalis".}
In Karbstein’s Andalusi Arabic – Romance glossary, (2002: 191), 2), 3), 4), a vocalisation much closer to Simon’s Miaha is found: ﻣﻴﻌﺔ /mīʕa/ Styrax. This shows that this word form was still used in the 17th c. by Spain’s Morisco community.
