Translation:

Psix is Greek for Latin mica {"crumb, bit, morsel"}.


Commentary:

Greek ψίξ /psíx/ means "crumb, bit, morsel, especially of bread".

Latin mica is "a crumb, little bit, morsel, grain"; mica panis "a morsel of bread".
