Translation:

Sachabenegi is Arabic for Latin serapinum.


Commentary:

Siggel (1950: 42): ﺳﻜﺒﻴﻨﺞ /sakbīnağ/ Sagapenon; p. Heilmittel aus Ferula persica Willd. (Umb.) < σαγαπηνόν /sagapēnón/. {i.e. Persian medicinal substance from the plant Ferula persica Willd.}.

Also: Lane (1984: 1380): ﺳﻜﺒﻴﻨﺞ {/sakbīnağ/} an arabicized word [from the Pers. ﺳﻜﺒﻴﻨﻪ {/sakbīnah/} … [Sagapenum;] a certain medicine, ... well-known; ... the gum of a certain tree ... in Persia ... [supposed to be ferula Persica,] in which is no useful property, but only in its gum: some say that there is a sort of ﻗﻨﺔ {/qinna/} [or galbanum] that changes from its original state and becomes ﺳﻜﺒﻴﻨﺞ {/sakbīnağ/}. ...
