Translation:

Zoa is the Greek word for Latin vita {"life"}, zo is vivo {"I live"}, zon is vivens {"being alive"}, and from this word stem ζω /zō/ are derived zodiaca {"Zodiac signs") and zodiacus {"related to the Zodiac"} and other words.


Commentary:

ζωή /zōḗ/ Doric ζωά /zōá/ "one’s living; life, existence"; ζῶ /zô/ "I live, am living", ζῶν /zôn/ "living, being alive", ζῳδιακά /zōdiaká/, ζῳδιακός /zōdiakós/ "(signs of) the Zodiac".
