Translation:

Geusir or iausir is Arabic for Latin oppopanax {"the juice of the herb panax"} et cetera.


Commentary:

Siggel (1950: 25): ﺟﺎﻭﺷﻴﺮ /ğāwšīr/ Opoponax, Harz v. Ferula opoponax Spr. (Umb.) {i.e. "resin of F. opoponax"}.
