Gluten albotin ita scribunt qui nesciunt, nam albotim debet scribi secundum arabicum, interdum alimbat invenitur et ipsum est terbentina.

Translation:
Gluten albotin: this is how those who do not know write it but it should be spelt albotim according to the original Arabic; occasionally one also finds alimbat, and they both mean terbentina {“turpentine”}.
Commentary:
Gluten albotim:
is a half-hearted translation of ﻋﻠﻚ ﺍﻻﻧﻄﻢ /ʕilk al-buṭm/ “resin of the terebinth tree”.

Wehr (1976): ﺑﻄﻢ /buṭm/, /buṭum/ “terebinth (bot.)”; Siggel (1950: 20): ﺑﻄﻢ /buṭm/ Pistacia terebinthus (Anacardiac.) Terebinthe.
The expression gluten albotim occurs e.g. in the Latin translation of Avicenna’s second book of the Canon in chapter 318. De gariofilo {“On cloves”}.
